"Arizona Landscape Relief" is a process where
each painting is sketched and then 5 layers of
texture medium is applied and shaped with a
palette knife. When the canvas is dry, up to
10 coats of cadmium oils are applied. The
surface then has a raised, realistic 3-D
effect and literally appears to jump off the
canvas! It is a long process, but well worth
the total effect.
